Mrs. A.Z. Hays Dies After Long Illness on Friday Morning:  Passes at Bridges' Chapel Home From Complications

Mrs. Florene Hays, wife of A.Z. Hays, passes away at the family home in Bridges' Chapel community Friday morning at 7:15 o'clock from the effects of an illness extending over a period of many months. A complication of diseases was responsible for her death.

Deceased was 58 years of age and was a native Titus County, living here all of her life. She is survived by her husband, two daughters and four sons, who are: Mrs. Ottis Garretson and Mrs. Willie Mae Sanders of Titus County, Charles, Jack and John Hays of Dallas and A.Z. Hays Jr., of Dickens. She also leaves two sisters and four brothers- Miss Clara Gingles, Grady and Alex Gingles of Titus County, Mrs. Pearl Bridges of Linden, Robert Gingles of Denison and Ervin Gingles of Dallas. Seven grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Hays held the respect of all who knew her and many friends are grieved at her death.

Funeral services will be held at the Green Hill Presbyterian Church Saturday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock, under direction of Rev. M.M. Pate, with interment at the nearby cemetery.
